"Change happens through movement and movement heals."

I empower busy moms of littles to pamper themselves with Pilates and balance their bodies for birth and beyond

Why Pilates?

Modern moms multitask.

It’s how we roll.

Lucky for us, Pilates shares this superpower.

With each and every exercise, this holistic method integrates the therapeutic movement principles of whole body commitment, breath, balanced muscle development, concentration, control, centering, precision and rhythm.

These exercises strengthen abdominal and pelvic floor muscles, correct postural imbalances, release muscular tension, increase flexibility, improve core control, and enhance mind-body awareness: just what you need when pregnancy, childbirth, and motherhood leave you feeling disconnected and drained.

Despite our superpowers, most of us are challenged to find an hour (or even 30 minutes!) on most days to devote to exercise. Pilates is a multitasking powerhouse that affords moms an effective form of fitness without sacrificing time. Through consultation and coaching, we can design an effective program for you in as little as 10 minutes a day!

The bonus? In Pilates-based rehab, we don’t focus our attention on body aesthetics. We don’t add pressure and discuss “losing the baby weight” or “regaining your pre-baby body.”

  • I coach women in the prenatal stage to build a body that is more resilient to injury.
  • I support women healing in the postpartum recovery period.
  • I guide moms of all ages through a fitness program that will restore confidence and energy in their bodies that created life.

We address the aches, pains, tight spots, weaknesses, diastasis recti, incontinence, and fatigue that prevent you from maximizing the joy and happiness of motherhood. If you feel more svelte as a side effect of our program, then jackpot!

Whether you are four months pregnant, navigating the fourth trimester, celebrating your child’s fourth birthday, or parenting a rising fourth grader- your mind, body, and family will reap the benefits and be grateful for committing to our Pilates approach to your wellbeing.

Growing up as a dancer, Junior Olympic gymnast and coach, I always planned to pursue a career in health and fitness. During my collegiate years at James Madison University, I worked as an ACE Certified Personal Trainer while earning a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology with a concentration in Exercise Science. In 2009, I graduated with a Doctorate in Physical Therapy from the MGH Institute of Health Professions and subsequently pursued the Nationally Certified Pilates Teacher credential to complement my clinical interests.

Integrating the Pilates principles and repertoire into my physical therapy practice has produced successful rehabilitation outcomes for a wide variety of my clients over the last decade. During my career in orthopedics, sports and dance medicine, home health, and concierge mobile fitness and wellness, I became a mom to a spunky little girl and busy baby boy. With an increased appreciation for the unique needs of mothers and children, I have devoted my professional development and advanced my clinical expertise to become a Prenatal and Postpartum Fitness Educator and Youth Fitness Specialist.
